Application Specialist

Job Responsibility: The Application Specialist develop, test, optimize and/or trouble shoot food and beverage formulations using innovative ingredients, technologies and/or product concepts.
Duties will include and not be limited to:

Maintain detailed records of formulations, trial results, and performance data.
Support preparation of technical documentation, specifications, and prototype data sheets.
Support the development of prototypes for customer presentations, product launches, and internal projects.
Adapt and optimize recipes based on sensory evaluation, stability, and cost considerations.
Develop and refine food and beverage formulations to demonstrate ingredient functionality and performance.
Participate in sensory evaluation sessions and provide technical feedback.
Conduct laboratory and mini – UHT trials, ensuring accurate data collection and process documentation.
Evaluate and manage raw material evaluation and provide timely feedback to partner enabler/s (suppliers and distributors).
Perform basic laboratory test procedures including but not limited to physico – chemical and microbiological method.
Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all application work.

Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, Nutrition, or related field.
At least 1- year hands- on experience in product application, R&D, or formulation development, preferably in the food & beverage or ingredient industry
Proficient in MS Office and laboratory documentation systems.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem- solving skills.
Knowledge of sensory evaluation, shelf- life testing, and regulatory labeling for dairy and beverage products.
Strong understanding of food processing, formulation science, and ingredient functionality (e.g., proteins, emulsifiers, stabilizers, sweeteners, flavors).
Hands- on experience with UHT, pasteurization, or aseptic processing.
