Assistant Director of Engineering

Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
Oversee maintenance of all systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety
Assist in resolving technical guest issues efficiently
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Conduct regular inspections and ensure timely repairs and upgrades
Support the Director of Engineering in overseeing daily engineering operations
Supervise the Engineering team and ensure smooth day- to- day operations
Promote a strong safety culture and service- oriented mindset
Support CAPEX planning, procurement, and cost control
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programmes
Support training, development, and performance management of the team

Leadership capability with a focus on team development
Good understanding of safety, compliance, and preventive maintenance practices
Strong technical knowledge of building systems and hotel infrastructure
Basic financial knowledge with exposure to budgeting or CAPEX
Proven experience in a similar role within hospitality (luxury environment preferred)
Hands- on, proactive, and detail- oriented approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
