Automotive Import–Export Specialist

The Automotive Import–Export Specialist is responsible for managing all import and export activities related to vehicles and automotive components. This role ensures regulatory compliance; optimizes logistics efficiency; supports smooth logistics operations; coordinates with governmental authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and customs clearance of shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Ordering Management:
- Follow up with suppliers on production progress, delivery commitments, and documentation readiness.
- Manage the full ordering cycle for CBU vehicles, CKD kits, spare parts, and accessories.
- Coordinate with Planning/Sales team to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure supply continuity
- Monitor order accuracy, pricing terms, INCOTERMS, and contract compliance.
International Transportation:
- Ensure all international transport complies with INCOTERMS, insurance requirements, and contract terms.
- Track shipment status and proactively address delays, rollover issues, congestion, or document discrepancies.
- Evaluate and select shipping lines, forwarders, and logistics service providers based on cost, reliability, and service quality.
- Oversee all overseas shipments (sea, air, rail) from global suppliers to Vietnam.
Customs, Compliance & Government Liaison:
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese customs laws, automotive import regulations, and FTA requirements
- Assess compliance risks and propose preventive measures.
- Liaise with Customs, MOIT, MOT, inspection centers, and other authorities.
- Oversee HS code classification, tax rate application, CO validation and disputed cases with customs.
Warehousing & Domestic Logistics:
- Oversee inbound logistics from ports to company warehouses or dealer networks.
- Coordinate with transporters, and warehouse providers on unloading, storage, and handling of vehicles and parts
- Solve issues related to damages, claims, delays, or warehouse discrepancies.
- Optimize domestic transportation cost and route planning for deliveries to dealers, factories, or service centers.
- Monitor warehouse operations including inventory accuracy, FIFO application, and stock condition.
Documentation & Operational Control:
- Support building SOPs and improving internal processes to reduce risks and operating costs
- Review and approve key shipping and customs documents: Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, COO, inspection certificates, etc.

Yêu cầu công việc
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem- solving skills
- Good communication and negotiation skills with external parties and governmental authorities.
- Knowledge of automotive industry import regulations and homologation concepts is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English (required) and Chinese (optional but preferred).
- 4–6 years’ experience in import/export or logistics (automotive experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of customs, HS codes, FTA rules of origin, INCOTERMS, and logistics operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
