AV Technician

• Be able to show flexibility to change the schedule in light of guest priorities.
• Initiate/identify project work required in relation to the hotel’s AV equipment and meeting facilities
• Ensure AV rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order.
• Investigate reported faults for AV equipment and meeting facilities.
• Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Engineer Supervisor / Asst Chief Engineer.
• Daily inspection and rectification of all AV equipment and meeting facilities
• Maintain the hotel’s AV equipment and meeting facilities to the desired standard
• Does carries out routine check of lighting system in all meeting facility.
• Communicates with Banquet department to fulfill guest expectation needs.
• Liaise directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and priorities in order of guest satisfaction.
• Complete work orders as requested by Engineering and Meetings & Events Service and other directives to meet customer requirements

Required Skills –
• Able to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• Able to read and write in English
• Audio Visual equipment and lightings equipment operation and maintenance skills
Qualifications –
• Vocational Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in electronics/Electrical trade
Experience –
• 4 years experience in Audio- visual setup of convention/conference centre, night club or sound recording studio.
