Back-end EngineerJava, PHP

You will work on multiple projects, collaborating closely with PMs, front- end developers, DevOps, and QA teams.
We are seeking experienced and passionate Back- end Engineers (Java or PHP) to build high- performing, scalable, enterprise- grade applications for our clients.
Responsibilities:

Write unit and integration tests; ensure code quality, security, and performance.
Maintain existing systems; troubleshoot and propose improvements.
Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions, including effort estimation.
Produce technical and functional documentation when required.
Design application architecture, structure, and database.
Collaborate with cross- functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, QC).
Develop and implement APIs.
Lead and mentor junior developers.
Engage with clients (mainly Singapore- based) in English.

Required:

Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development (Java or PHP).
Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture.
English proficiency for technical communication.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
Experience with Java frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.) or PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern development protocols (MQTT, WebSocket, RPC).
Unit testing, integration testing, and code quality best practices.
Strong experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Preferred:

Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP).
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Prior experience with large- scale enterprise applications, Education or Healthcare projects.
