This role oversees financial planning and forecasting, internal controls, and risk management while providing strategic leadership to enable expansion beyond Vietnam into additional markets. The CFO also has leadership responsibility for Human Resources and Information Technology, ensuring strong talent acquisition and retention, effective payroll and benefits administration, and technology infrastructure that supports scalable business operations.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Vietnam is a strategic executive responsible for leading the company’s financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting long- term value creation. The CFO partners closely with the executive team to drive strategic planning, capital allocation, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
Establish and maintain strong financial governance and reporting frameworks.
Lead relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure high- quality financial reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of all financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and local statutory requirements.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
Implement risk mitigation strategies to support stable and sustainable growth.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and applicable governance standards.
Identify, assess, and manage financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment that safeguards company assets and ensures financial integrity.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
Support business units with financial analysis to improve profitability and operational performance.
Monitor financial performance against strategic targets and drive accountability across the organization.
Lead the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long- term financial planning processes.
Provide forward- looking financial insights and scenario analysis to support decision- making.
Strategic Planning & Value Creation
Lead financial evaluation of strategic investments, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities.
Provide financial leadership to support the company’s growth strategy, including expansion into multiple countries.
Identify opportunities to create enterprise value through growth initiatives, operational improvements, and financial discipline.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to define and execute the company’s long- term strategy.
Capital Planning & Resource Allocation
Optimize the company’s capital structure and manage relationships with financial institutions.
Lead capital planning and investment prioritization to ensure efficient use of financial resources.
Evaluate capital investments, major projects, and strategic initiatives through financial modeling and ROI analysis.
Operational Efficiency & Business Partnership
Partner with operational leaders to identify and implement cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
Use financial insights and data to support operational decision- making and performance improvement.
Drive initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and improve financial performance.
Human Resources Leadership
Provide executive oversight of Human Resources including recruiting, onboarding, and employee retention strategies.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and employment regulations.
Lead workforce planning aligned with strategic business needs and growth plans.
Support leadership development, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
Ensure competitive compensation structures, payroll administration, and employee benefits programs.
- Information Technology Oversight**
Provide strategic oversight of the company’s IT systems, infrastructure, and digital capabilities.
Ensure technology platforms effectively support finance, HR, operations, and reporting needs.
Ensure strong cybersecurity practices and data protection standards.
Lead technology initiatives that improve efficiency, automation, and data- driven decision- making.
Leadership & Organizational Development
Develop leadership capabilities and succession planning within the organization.
Build and lead high- performing Finance, HR, and IT teams.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
