Chief Steward

Coordinate with the Executive Chef in establishing minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisition
Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
Provide functional assistance and direction and be responsible for the smooth running of the whole stewarding operation
Maintain health inspection record, attendance record and file on casual employees
Check more specifically the proper use of chemicals and washing accessories
Supervise the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene as well as the quality level of product and services
Co- ordinate with the Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements for the day and the next day
Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
Supervise the duties of all stewarding department employees, facilities, operation and costs
Take all necessary actions to reduce the loss of silverware / flatware

Required Skills
- Understanding of F & B and hotel industry and products Qualifications
- Document Writing Skills and Hotel Competency
- Foreign Language(ENG required, second language preferred)
- Knowledge of hygiene standards, kitchen operations and safety standards for handling food
- Communication skills(Negotiation/Presentation/Speech/Listening)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experiences
- At least 3 years of experiences at the same position
