DevOps Cloud Engineer

Cloud & Infrastructure

Support disaster recovery strategy creation and implementation
Support and enhance customer AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CloudFormation)
Configure, maintain, and monitor platforms including load, space, backups, and OS/software patches

DevOps & CI/CD

Maintain all scripts in source control (GitHub)
Build and manage Continuous Integration/Delivery pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
Proactively work with customers to enhance and develop integrated processes and platform functionality

System & Database Administration

Perform system administration tasks across internal, production, and test environments
Install, configure, and monitor databases; manage backups and performance
Support development teams with environment setup, data imports/exports, and environment maintenance

Client Support & Service

Provide first- level support to clients under Support & Maintenance contracts
Be available on an after- hours roster (including overnight coverage)
Engage professionally with clients, understand their business, and deliver solutions- focused outcomes

Consulting & Improvement

Participate in project designs and estimations
Deliver consulting services to base2Services customers
Communicate status daily via standups and project tools; identify and implement process improvements

Must Have

Proficiency in scripting languages: Ruby, Python, or Node.js
Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CloudFormation)
Linux and/or Windows system administration experience
AWS Certification: SysOps, Developer, or Solutions Architecture
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar DevOps or cloud engineering role
Hands- on experience supporting applications on AWS
Experience with CI/CD frameworks

Preferred

Experience developing and managing CI build pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)

Nice to Have

Programming experience in Java or Node.js
