JOB SUMMARY:
Leads the property’s sales & marketing department for a hotel with 510 rooms (including hotel room & residential room) and significant catering revenue. Oversees all sales efforts to achieve booking goals and maximize revenue through strategic planning and strong customer relationships. Implements brand initiatives, manages marketing budgets, and develops property- specific campaigns to enhance market positioning. Collaborates with regional teams on promotions and ensures effective participation in key sales channels. Delivers strategies that meet customer expectations, align with brand standards, and provide strong ROI for owners and Marriott International.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with brand standards and operational excellence, including contract management, service basics, and crisis communication support.
Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to adjust sales tactics and maintain competitive positioning.
Build strong customer relationships by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Provide leadership to the property’s sales department, set goals, coach team members, and ensure alignment with brand strategy.
Lead marketing communication activities in collaboration with regional teams and suggest innovative campaigns.
Oversee participation in sales channels and events, including tradeshows and community partnerships, to increase brand awareness.
Serve as primary sales contact for customers, property leadership, and Marriott’s regional sales teams, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Manage talent acquisition and development in partnership with HR to build a high- performing, diverse sales team.
Monitor financial performance, control expenses, and manage marketing budgets to achieve revenue and ROI targets.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive occupancy, RevPAR, and market share through proactive and reactive efforts.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Hospitality/ Tourism management
Working Experience & Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans that deliver revenue growth and market share.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving high- performing sales teams.
Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive proposals and professional correspondence.
Proven experience as Director of Sales (DOS) or Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in a luxury 5- star hotel environment.
