ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Estimator & Drafter, you’ll take on a strategic leadership role, bridging technical precision with project execution. You&039;ll oversee estimates and drawings across major U.S. residential and commercial builds, ensuring quality, cost- efficiency, and compliance. Beyond day- to- day oversight, you&039;ll influence process improvements, mentor a growing team, and contribute directly to operational and planning decisions that shape project outcomes and company growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Tasks and responsibilities directly performed by the employee)
What You’ll Do
Oversee and review cost estimates for full builds and components (lumber, drywall, millwork, cabinetry, doors, windows).
Guide and mentor the estimating team, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Review architectural and structural drawings; oversee shop and construction drawing preparation.
Identify discrepancies in project documents and coordinate resolutions.
Collaborate with management on KPI tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
Support onboarding and training of new team members.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in estimating and drafting (with 2+ years on U.S. residential & commercial house projects).
Proficiency in estimating software (Planswift, Bluebeam, Microvellum, Innergy, etc.) and drafting tools (SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, Tekla).
Strong understanding of construction components (wood/steel framing, millwork, cabinetry, doors, windows).
Leadership experience mentoring teams.
Excellent English communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and drafting, including at least 2years working on full U.S. residential house projects.
At least 2 years of drafting experience using software such as SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, or Tekla.
Strong proficiency in estimating software, preferably Planswift,
