GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

The General Accountant is responsible for overseeing full- spectrum general accounting activities with a strong focus on tax compliance and advisory. This role ensures compliance with Vietnamese regulations and internal/group policies while acting as a subject matter expert in tax- related matters.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting:

Perform month- end closing activities accurately and within deadlines
Handle full sets of accounts including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, accruals, and provisions
Support internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation
Reconcile accounting data across systems (ERP, Data Warehouse, Excel reports, etc.)
Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS (IFRS is a plus)

Tax Management:

Handle annual tax finalization and work directly with tax authorities.
Provide tax advisory support to internal stakeholders (contracts, expenses, payments, etc.)
Expert to prepare and submit tax declarations on government systems: VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT
Review invoices and supporting documents to ensure tax compliance
Monitor and update new tax regulations (Decrees, Circulars) and assess their impact annually.
Identify tax risks and propose optimization solutions

Compliance & Process Improvement:

Support the development of SOPs and conduct internal training on accounting and tax topics
Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal/group policies
Develop and improve accounting and tax processes

HR & Admin Tasks:

Willing to contribute and participate in some HR & Admin activities

Other ad- hoc tasks as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
Chief accountant certificate is a plus
Solid experience in tax (VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT) is required
Experience in multinational companies (MNC) or Big4/audit firms is a plus
More than 5 years of experience in general accounting
Good command of English (both written and spoken)
