Junior Full Stack Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Full Stack Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

Build intuitive job/pipeline submission UIs (including no- code/low- code pipeline builders) and programmatic APIs.
Collaborate with cross- functional teams to gather requirements, shape product features, and deliver customer- facing functionality.
Ensure secure data handling, encryption, access control and tenant isolation.
Implement CI/CD, observability (logs/metrics/tracing), and automated testing for reliability.
Integrate and operationalize AI/ML models and GPU- backed workloads (containerized model images, model versioning, result provenance).
Develop and document REST/GraphQL APIs consumed by internal and external clients.
Design, develop and maintain frontend and backend services for a multi- tenant SaaS platform.
Implement asynchronous job orchestration, batch processing, queueing, retries and autoscaling.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and cost of cloud resources.

REQUIREMENTS

1+ years full- stack experience building production web applications.
Gain experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Basic English proficiency
Participate in CI/CD processes and infrastructure- as- code practices.
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
Support backend development with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js/NestJS.
Contribute to no- code/low- code interfaces and workflows.
Work with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment.
Assist with AI/ML projects and integrate models into apps.
Develop user interfaces using React and Next.js (TypeScript preferred).

Nice- to- haves

Hands- on experience with MLOps tooling (MLflow, Argo, Kubeflow, Step Functions).
Background working with scientific users (bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or similar).
Prior experience in multi- tenant SaaS or enterprise security (SSO/SAML, data isolation).
Experience with GPU compute stacks, CUDA, Conda, or packaging complex scientific toolchains.

AI Engineer
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, problem- solving engineer with experience in building scalable, high- performance applications. Your expertise will enable NYB to create cutting- edge digital solutions that drive innovation in AI- powered drug discovery.

Responsibilities

As an AI Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

Fine- tune and deploy transformer- based models for domain- specific tasks such as information extraction, classification, summarization, and similarity detection.
Maintain code quality, reproducibility, and documentation standards in all ML projects.
Design, develop and implement AI/ML models and algorithms for a variety of use cases.
Develop robust and maintainable ML pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
Ensure reproducibility and scalability of AI systems through tools such as MLflow, Docker, and cloud services.
Leverage deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and large language model (LLM) techniques to analyze complex data, uncover patterns, and support data- driven decision- making across research and development activities.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI stack by researching, evaluating, and implementing state- of- the- art models and techniques.
Conduct thorough data- centric approaches- cleaning, augmentation, drift detection, and versioning.

REQUIREMENTS

Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control (Git/GitHub Actions).
Proficiency in Python and common ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras.
Hands- on experience with model optimization tools such as ONNX, TensorRT, and TFLite.
Experience in MLOps tools: MLflow, BentoML, Evidently, Prometheus, Grafana.
Strong data handling and visualization using Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib.
Knowledge/experience in scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure).
Solid knowledge in Computer Vision and NLP techniques (e.g., YOLOv5/6, LayoutLM).
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in developing and serving AI models with FastAPI, Flask, Docker.
2- 5 years of hands- on experience in AI/ML engineering roles.
Strong problem- solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Fluent in English.
Prior experience with LLMs integration (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) and prompt engineering to deploy AI applications.
