Housekeeping Manager is the strategic and operational leader responsible for the entire housekeeping, laundry, and linen department. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal of all guest rooms, public areas, and back- of- house spaces, directly impacting guest satisfaction and the hotel&039;s reputation for excellence. The incumbent leads a large team with efficiency, financial acumen, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Promote safe working practices and oversee the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals. Drive eco- friendly initiatives within the department.
Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce strict cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards for all guest rooms (including VIP suites), public areas, back- of- house, and laundry operations. Conduct daily, documented inspections to ensure consistent, flawless execution.
Guest Satisfaction & Communication: Proactively address guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping with speed and discretion. Maintain seamless communication with the Front Office and Engineering departments to ensure room status accuracy and prompt maintenance.
Financial & Inventory Control: Prepare and manage the departmental budget, controlling costs for labor, linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies. Implement efficient inventory systems and par stock levels to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization.
Leadership & Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a large, diverse housekeeping team. Oversee recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and career development to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce.

In- depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and linen/laundry operations.
Bachelor&039;s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a large, multicultural team.
Fluency in English and Vietnamese.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem- solving skills.
Minimum of 5- 7 years of progressive housekeeping experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role at a 4 or 5- star hotel.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control.
High standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
