Lead AI Engineer LLM, Vision Multimodal AI

About the Role
We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to spearhead the development of large- scale AI systems and define the next generation of intelligent, human- centered products.In this role, you will take ownership of designing, training, and deploying cutting- edge Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision- Language Models (VLMs), and Generative AI solutions that create measurable business and user impact.
Depending on your expertise, you will lead initiatives in one of the following areas:
Track 1 – Vision & Multimodal AI

Build robust and scalable data and model pipelines, ensuring reproducibility and strong benchmark performance.
Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and autonomy within the AI team.
Design, train, and evaluate Vision- Language Models (VLMs) optimized for practical, high- impact use cases.
Lead the research and deployment of visual understanding systems such as face liveness detection and anti- spoofing.

Track 2 – Generative AI & LLM Systems

Excercise responsible AI practices, ensuring fairness, privacy, transparency, and safety in all systems.
Establish and maintain MLOps best practices for AI lifecycle management: model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Continuously evaluate and experiment with new research, architectures, and open- source models to sustain innovation and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with cross- functional teams — including ML engineers, data scientists, and product leaders — to integrate AI seamlessly into products.
Build and scale production- grade AI applications — including conversational agents, generative content systems, and intelligent automation platforms.
Architect and deliver end- to- end generative AI solutions leveraging state- of- the- art foundation models (e.g., GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral).
Develop and optimize LLM fine- tuning pipelines, prompt engineering workflows, retrieval- augmented generation (RAG), and alignment techniques.
Provide strategic and technical leadership in emerging generative AI frameworks and methodologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines.
5+ years of professional experience
in AI/ML, with at least
3 years of deep specialization
in one of the following domains:
Large Language Models / Generative AI (e.g., transformer- based LLMs, conversational AI, or RAG systems).
Computer Vision / Multimodal AI (e.g., face recognition, anti- spoofing, VLMs, or generative vision models), OR
Hands- on experience deploying AI systems at scale using AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
Advanced proficiency in Python, with strong experience using frameworks such as PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, LangChain, or equivalents.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide teams through complex AI initiatives.
Proven success in building and shipping production AI systems with large user impact.
Recognized contributions to AI research or competitive achievements (e.g., Kaggle, open- source projects).
