Mechanical Engineer

Division/Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Manager, Technical Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist customers with mechanical equipment issues including investigations and troubleshooting activities at their premises.
· Liaison with mechanical and process equipment suppliers for technical evaluations and selection.
· Participate in commissioning activities of mechanical and general process equipment for projects both in Vietnam and overseas.
· Basic design calculations, materials selection and components evaluation as directed.
· Participate in product development activities.
· Assist in the maintenance of the company’s engineering reference database.
· Mechanical design for general Process Equipment in the Steel, Paper, Petrochemical and similar heavy industries.
· General mechanical detail design duties including CAD and 3D modelling.
· Assist sales personnel with technical advice or customer enquiries.
· Mechanical design for Thermal Processing Equipment.
· Develop, maintain and apply mechanical engineering standards as directed.

Education, Work Experience and other requirements:
· Positive attitude, hardworking, team oriented and self- motivated.
· Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Good communication in English language both written and oral is essential.
· General mechanical equipment design experience.
· Exposure to heavy Industrial process equipment.
· 5+ years of work experience in heavy engineering (with foreign companies preferred).
· General computer proficiency (MS Office essential).
· Must hold and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
· University qualified Mechanical Engineer.
· AutoCAD experience and 3D modelling proficiency (Autodesk Inventor or other relevant software).
· Experience with Thermodynamics and/or Heating/Cooling systems (preferred but not essential).
· Must have a willingness and ability to travel within Vietnam and internationally at short notice.
