MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment & Selection
Provides professional support and advice on recruitment to line and departmental managers, and advice managers on best practice recruitment and selection
Is responsible for candidate reference check from job level 5 and above
Corrects and timely places internal and external advertisements
Liaises with individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to, government officers, colleges and universities, hotel schools, recruitment agencies, competitors and other members of the local community
Maintains the JD database
Is responsible of the employee recruitment from receiving Personnel Requisition phase until hiring confirmation
Attracts and help to select the right and qualified candidates for position vacancies
Selects potential trainees from schools to be interns at the hotel
Handles manning requests from department
Conduct exit interviews for line staff and provide feedback on reasons for turnover
Implements recruitment/selection strategy and mobility process, screen application forms, shortlist applicants, conduct pre- screening interviews, language tests and personality questionnaires as required
Handles- over the hiring confirmation to HRS and follows up until the Offer Letter is done
Advertising- get the job descriptions and personnel specifications, prepare job advertisements and suggest how and where jobs will be advertised and prepare other recruitment material such as brochures, posters, notices
Builds scholarship with vocational schools, colleges, and universities to create a talent pool
Updates the recruitment status report on a weekly basis from the Personnel Requisition Form of HODs including permanent and casual staff
Develops and manages the database, candidate pool for each position (internally and externally). Ensures the candidate database is up- to- date
Training & Development
Conduct any training on hotel regulations, staff grooming and introduce new legislation stipulations concerning with labour matters to employees.
Inform Management the development and trends in the local labour situation, social legislation and labour management relation.
Arrange and take part in the Induction Program for new employees
Conduct “Knowing Your Product” and “Handbook” tests for Yearly Performance Appraisal of employees. To ensure that Performance Appraisal process (including probationary review) within the Hotel takes place fairly in an effective manner to the employees.
Compensation & Benefits
Monthly time attendant checking the employees’ working shifts for month- end payroll cut off. Following up and keeping track on the leave reports as such annual leaves, compensation days off, sick leaves and other leaves.
Monthly staff list, Reports, Final Settlement with Staff Clearance Form for resigned employee will be prepared by HRAM and to be verified by Human Resources Director before submitting to Finance Department.
Follow up and carry out all benefits for employee such as birthday/ wedding, etc…
Take care all tasks for Social, Health and Unemployment Insurance, tax…
Relations
To ensure that all personnel administration matters are in accordance with the hotel policies and procedures as well as Labour Law.
To see to it that all the hotel policies, rules and regulations are observed and enforced
Attend the departmental morning briefings and in charge of Human Resources Department in the absence of Human Resources Director.
In conjunction with Director of Human Resources, to provide effective and pro- active advice to line Heads of Department on all employees related issues, including disciplinary and grievance in line with policies and procedures.
In conjunction with Director of Human Resources to organize any staff activities such as Staff Outing, Staff Party, Staff Birthday Party, Melia Familia Journal issuance to ensure the welfare of and create the good working climate to employees.
Checking and carry out all task related to Trade Union
To assist Director of Human Resources in the development of human resources policies, procedures guidance as required.
Analysing staff morale and working climate and to report back to Management.
Maintain good relationship with Labour Department, Immigration and other governmental authorities in order to obtain Work Permits for Expatriate Employees particularly and other papers required for employees generally.
In charge of Visa, Work Permit and Residence Card for all expat
Locker Key Control System to be controlled and updated.

Good level of English
Labor Law, Tax Information, Social Insurance
University Degree in Administration, Human Resources Management.
2 years in the company in similar position in large hotels
2 years in a similar position in large hotels or international companies
