MEP Quantity Take - Off / MEP Quantity Surveyor | Hanoi | Contruction Field (27006)

• Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the construction process to ensure the project stays within the permitted budget.
• Market Survey/Price Analysis: Surveying market prices for various materials and equipment to ensure competitiveness and cost optimization.
• Variation/Change Order Management: Checking, confirming, and updating quantities of variation items into the cost estimate documents.
• Cost Estimation: Preparing and managing initial cost estimates for mechanical and electrical items.
• Tender Support: Providing quantity and unit rate information to the tendering department to prepare bidding documents.
• Quantity Take- off (QTO): Estimating the required quantities of materials, equipment, and labor for MEP items based on the design drawings.
• Payment and Final Settlement: Checking contractor&039;s quantity submissions for the purpose of progress payments and final project handover/settlement.

MUST:
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Quantity Take- Off (QTO) and preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for MEP systems; experience working with an M&E Contractor or Main Contractor is preferred.
• Education: Bachelor&039;s Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS), Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and advanced MS Excel skills are mandatory.
• QTO & Technical Skills:
Ability to prepare detailed quantity take- offs for the following systems: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), Electrical, Plumbing/Drainage, Fire Fighting, and ELV (Extra- Low Voltage).
Capable of developing BOQ by individual system and by building.
Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems, Fire Fighting systems, and related industry regulations/codes.
• Language: Good English proficiency (for reading and understanding technical documents and specialized terminology) and basic communication skills.
• Attributes: High level of accuracy/detail- orientation, responsibility for meeting deadlines, and strong coordination skills with Design, Estimating, and Procurement teams.

PREFER:
• Contract Management: Experience managing FIDIC contracts and providing support for claims/dispute- related work.
• Project Experience: Proven experience executing projects in industrial facilities / data centers / high- rise buildings / commercial sectors.
• International Exposure: Experience with projects for Japanese, US, European, Singaporean, or Taiwanese clients.
• Language: Fluency in conversational Japanese and understanding of technical Japanese terminology is a strong advantage.
• Professional Certification: Holding a professional certification (e.g., RICS/CIOB) or a local QS certification.
• Software Experience: Experience with Revit/BIM software is a plus.
