BUSINESS CONTEXT AND MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• The person interfaces with many key organizational functions – Brand Marketing, Customer Strategy & Planning, CMI, Customer Business Development to design, facilitate and implement Category Management Strategies, processes and tools for field sales and our retail customers.
• This role is crucial in the management of strategic financial analysis across 5 levers to enable Unilever to maximize growth & category insights through data. The goal of this role will be growing our business through effective use of data and Insights working with key stakeholders cross functionally and strategic customers.
• This position is responsible for driving the growth of Beauty & Wellbeing categories for Unilever and its trade customers.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
NRM
• Work with regional NRM team and other countries’ local team for knowledge sharing, benchmarking and best practice learning.
• Work closely with local cross- functional team for analysis and alignment with Category Business team on proposals including white space initiatives, size of prizes, investment allocation, implementation plan, tracking and delivery.
• Manage project progress and timely delivery;
• Do business diagnostics and provide solution for incremental growth via Net Revenue Management methodology and multiple data sources (internal and external)
Category Management
• Consults closely with brand development to secure alignment around retail environment realities prior to innovation launches.
• Create bespoke JBP/CAT MAN project for strategic customers
• Determine and understand industry, category, shopper and consumer trends to proactively seek and recommend solutions.
• Convert brand strategy into strategic merchandising strategies with actionable recommendations for customers.
• Serves as liaison between field sales/retail customers and brand teams to facilitate the field execution of category initiatives with major customers.
• Effectively designs and integrates category management strategy into the business planning process.
• Provide guidance, leadership and category/brand expertise to field category management managers.
• Integrate Category Management and Shopper Insights information into Customer Marketing and Brand Marketing materials.
• Works with Shopper Insights and CMI Managers to integrate shopper understandings into category management initiatives/strategies.
• Development of Category Management strategies providing insights and retail solutions, specifically addressing assortment and shelving.
• Assists in training, distribution and execution of category management tools with field.
• Creates and delivers actionable sales stories and strategies with solutions for internal and external customers.
