Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Specialist

Position Overview
The OHS Specialist will be responsible for audit and capability building on OHS matters at third- party manufacturers and its sub- contractors on several activities and projects, and will report to Operations Manager. The position is based in Hanoi with regular travel to sites.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team.

Scope
This role covers all Vestergaard Vietnam offices, laboratories, warehouses, and third‑party manufacturing partners. Responsibilities extend to internal employees, contractors, and relevant external parties.
The OHS Specialist ensures a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors by implementing Vestergaard’s OHS management framework, maintaining compliance with Vietnamese regulations, and supporting continuous improvement of workplace safety.
Key Accountabilities
OHS Management System & Compliance
• Monitor regulatory changes and align internal systems accordingly.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Implement and improve the OHS Management System aligned with ISO 45001.
• Update OHS procedures and ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
Hazard Identification & Risk Control
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Inspect workplace conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Recommend engineering, administrative, and PPE control measures.
Training & Awareness
• Coordinates and or deliver mandatory OHS training programs.
• Develop training materials and coordinate with external trainers.
• Promote a strong safety culture.
Incident Reporting & Emergency Preparedness
• Lead or support accident and near‑miss investigations.
• Monitor corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.
Supplier & Facility Support
• Support production and laboratory teams on safety practices.
• Conduct OHS assessments for suppliers.
• Review machine/equipment safety compliance.
Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare OHS reports and KPIs.
• Maintain documentation according to OHS policy and document control standards.
