Project Officer for Green Digital Transformation of Textile SMEs

· Designing activities for SME sensitization, SME trainings, Train- The- Trainer, and other forms of technical assistance for textile/footwear/leather processing SMEs
· Handling procurement and invoicing according to GIZ regulations
· Setting up and managing SME digitalization support programs for textile/footwear/leather processing SMEs
· Implementing daily operational aspects of all issues related to technology for textile/footwear/leather processing SMEs
· Monitoring and evaluation of activities, specifically for helping SMEs measure energy and resource consumption
· Conceptually linking textile/footwear/leather to energy efficiency, sustainable energy usage, circular economy and other forms of sustainable resource usage
· Knowledge management within GIZ Viet Nam, regional GIZ offices, the GIZ headquarters as well as outside the GIZ on the topic of climate- neutral textile/footwear/leather processing technologies
· Monitoring and evaluation of activities, specifically for helping SMEs measure energy and resource consumption
· Advising on technology usage to help SMEs achieve business outcomes (reduced costs, efficiency gains) and climate goals (circular economy, energy efficiency, etc.)
· Conceptually linking textile/footwear/leather to energy efficiency, sustainable energy usage, circular economy and other forms of sustainable resource usage
· Establishing and promoting regional and German- Vietnamese digital SME networks, exchange with regional networks, organizing and facilitating learning journeys (regionally and internationally) on the topic of technologies for textile/footwear/leather processing SMEs
· Technical advice and organizational development for the clients (textile/footwear/leather processing SMEs) of the project in the field of digitalization
· Advising on technology usage to help SMEs achieve business outcomes (reduced costs, efficiency gains) and climate goals (circular economy, energy efficiency, etc.)

· Ensuring operations planning is on track and managing the project implementation
· Technical advice and organizational development for the clients (textile/footwear/leather processing SMEs) of the project in the field of digitalization
· Procuring and managing contractors to deliver the designed activities
· Strategic partnership development on textile/footwear/leather processing and other topics of sustainable economic development
· Ensuring operations planning is on track and managing the project implementation
· Communicating closely with our ministry partner to align on activities, timelines, selection criteria
· Where appropriate and reasonable, the position holder is willing to perform tasks outside the the scope of the job description.

Minimum Requirements
· Experience working with international donors is a plus
· Experience in implementing technologies for textile/leather/footwear processing SMEs in Vietnam, such as designing and implementing digital transformation projects (e.g., IT solutions, Automation, IoT, SCADA, etc.)
· Willingness to travel (abroad and domestically) regularly
· Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management
· Experience in developing digital transformation roadmaps for textile/leather/footwear processing SMEs
· Knowledge on current local and regional developments in the fields of technologies, solutions, as well as cost- benefit analysis for textile/leather/footwear processing SMEs
· Experience in communications and employee engagement linked to the adoption of textile/leather/footwear processing solutions
· Experience in developing strategies, setting up and executing transformation initiatives in textile/leather/footwear processing SMEs
· Experience in setting up, maintaining, and monitoring carbon accounting systems and systems to monitor resource systems (such as energy, waste management systems, etc.)
· Experience managing external IT vendors
· Managerial and organisational competence
· Experience in linking business outcomes (reduced costs, efficiency gains) with climate goals (climate- neutrality, reducing energy and resource usage via data management)
· Good knowledge of the digital transformation landscape in Vietnam
· Bachelor’s degree in textile engineering or technology, environmental science, digital transformation, computer science, or equivalent, with at least 3 years of working in the field of textile/leather/footwear processing
· Experience in conducting energy audits and environmental impact assessments for manufacturing companies
· Very good knowledge of Vietnamese and English, German is a plus
