PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Spartronics Viet Nam is seeking a Purchasing Manager who is leading procurement and sourcing activities to ensure the timely, cost- effective, and quality supply of materials required for production. This role drives supplier strategy, cost optimization, risk management, and ERP system utilization to support business growth and operational excellence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Sourcing Strategy
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with company goals (cost, quality, delivery, risk)
- Lead RFQ processes, quotation analysis, and supplier selection
- Drive supplier localization and dual sourcing strategy to mitigate supply risks
- Manage commodity strategies (PCB, PCBA, mechanical, battery, etc.)
Cost Management & Optimization
- Drive cost reduction initiatives (PPV, VA/VE, negotiation, alternate sourcing)
- Monitor market trends (e.g., copper, semiconductor pricing) and adjust strategy accordingly
- Support customer pricing and quarterly cost reviews
- Analyze CBOM and identify opportunities for cost improvement
Supplier Management
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Lead supplier qualification, audit, and performance evaluation
- Drive supplier improvement plans and corrective actions
- Implement supplier scorecards (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)
Operational Execution
- Resolve supply issues proactively (shortage, delays, quality issues)
- Manage inventory levels, excess & obsolete (E&O), and liability risks
- Ensure material availability to support production schedules
- Oversee PO placement, order tracking, and delivery performance
Risk & Compliance Management
- Control supplier credentials (certifications)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and customer requirements
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (single source, long lead time, financial risk)
- Support legal and commercial negotiations when required
System & Process Improvement
- Lead ERP system utilization (e.g., D365) for procurement activities
- Improve data accuracy and reporting visibility
- Standardize procurement processes and documentation
- Drive digital transformation (automation, Power BI dashboards, AI tools)
Cross- functional Collaboration
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) sourcing activities
- Align with global procurement teams and corporate strategies
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Finance, and Program teams
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop purchasing team (buyers, sourcing specialists).
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Coach team on negotiation, supplier management, and system usage.
- Build a high- performance and proactive team culture.
Education/
Trình độ học vấn:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Experience/
Kinh nghiệm làm việc:
- Experience working with customers in US/EU markets
- Experience in global sourcing and supplier localization
- Knowledge of international trade (Incoterms, tariffs)
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership role
- 7–10+ years in procurement/sourcing, preferably in EMS or manufacturing
- Familiarity with AI tools in procurement (optional but preferred)
