QC Mananger

Function

In line with the company Total Quality Management objectives & by representing Subcontractors- lumber- veneer. Quality Control in cross- functional teams:
Lead Subcontractors- Lumber- veneer, Quality Control Teams to ensure the conformity of Outgoing Subcontracted Products, lumber, veneer to Company Standards as well Customers & Regulatory requirement
Contribute to Failure Reporting & Analysis as well as to Corrective & Preventive Action Planning
Ensure the Performance of VFR Supply Base from Suppliers Strategic sourcing to their Development & Performance Improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

Proactively help eliminating Products rejection by issuing Quality Alerts, identifying Quality issue & Isolating defective products
Mentor & train Quality Control Team Members to improve & upgrade their skills
Routinely audit the active use of QC inspection checklist & tools
Actively take part to Continuous Improvement projects lead by team (QA, Trading, Tech) to help Subcontractors, lumber- veneer supplier improving their Overall Performance (Time, Cost & Quality) involving the necessary Company & Subcontractors Resources
Implement Products & Process Control Plans to ensure that processes are followed & products are conforming to latest specified quality requirements for In- Process & Outgoing Subcontracted products, lumber, veneer
Recommend & Contribute to Products & QC Continuous Improvements
At Subcontractors, establish regular Inline Quality Standards Refresher Meetings and short course Quality Training for Production Line leaders
Attend to Production, Inline & Resolve Customer Issues (RCI) Meetings to proactively address and/or emphasize on Quality issues & resolutions
Together with R&D, Tech, Trading and Quality Assurance teams to establish, maintain & improve Company Quality Standards
Provide quality guidelines, share best practices & enable Quality compliance to Customer requirements
Collaborate with Tech, Subcontractors, lumber, veneer QC & Production Managers to ensure that all are following the same Company Standards & Specifications
Document & Maintain records of Inspections & Tests as well Corrective & Preventives Actions Implementation for each Subcontractor, supplier of lumber, veneer
Other tasks as required by Top Management

General requirements

Understanding of Total Quality Management & Lean with practical experience is a plus
Hardworking, honest, straight, and active behavior

Education and Training

Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Management preferre

Experience and Qualification

Excellent understanding of Indoor Luxury Furniture Quality Requirements is desired
Extensive experience in a well- established Quality control environment required

Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with ambiguities, conflicts and adversarial relationships
