Senior IT Security Officer (Data Protection)

Other duties as assigned by Manager/Director.
Monitor compliance: Oversee data handling activities, conduct regular audits, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
Advisory support: Provide guidance to internal teams (IT, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, etc.) on integrating privacy and security controls (“privacy by design”) into systems and projects.
Awareness & culture: Promote personal data protection awareness and compliance across the organization.
Develop and maintain data protection framework: Build, update, and enforce data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with Vietnamese laws (e.g., Data Law 2024, PDPL, Decree 13).
Documentation & reporting: Maintain records of data processing, DPIA reports, and consent management; prepare compliance reports for management and regulators.
Risk assessments: Coordinate and perform DPIAs and other data risk assessments; propose risk mitigation measures for high- risk activities.
Data protection operations: Review DPAs, vendor privacy assessments, and act as contact point with data protection authorities.

2 years or more of working experience in data governance, cybersecurity, or related roles, preferably in banking or financial services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, Risk, or a related field.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Good knowledge of Vietnam’s data regulatory landscape. Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of Vietnamese PDPL/ PDPD- 13/GDPR.
