Senior Manual Tester Automation Transition

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong Manual Testing experience and basic knowledge of Automation Testing.
You will help improve QA processes, mentor a small QA team, and gradually build the foundation for test automation.

+ Execute manual testing for web & mobile platforms.
+ Collaborate with Developer to clarify requirements; manage defects.
+ Create & maintain test documents (test cases / test plans / test reports).
+ Review deliverables and ensure product quality before release.
+ Lead, mentor, and support QA team members (1–3 people) to improve productivity and quality standards.
+ Improve QA workflow & propose enhancements
+ Build initial automation roadmap; participate in early scripting.
The working time: 9:00- 18:00, Monday- Friday, can be a bit flexible

Must have:

Able to communicate in English (basic working level for reporting and discussion)
Strong expertise in manual testing, test case design, and test documentation.
Understanding of automation testing concepts (frameworks, tools, strategy)
At least 5 years experience in software testing (web/ mobile applications).
Solid understanding of different testing levels (unit, integration, system, UAT).
Analytical mindset, high attention to detail
Experience improving QA processes or workflows
Experience working closely with Developer / PM to clarify requirements

Nice to have:

Able to communicate in English (basic working level for reporting and discussion)
Knowledge of performance testing (JMeter) or SQL
Experience in working directly with international clients is preferred
Experience in API testing using Postman or SOAPUI
Hands- on exposure to automation tools

Academic / Business

Ability to communicate in English (office communications are in English as CEO is from Japan)
Responsible for work, ability to work independently and team work.
Have graduated from University or College.
