Senior QA Engineer Automation, REST API testing

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing manual and automated test cases related to the following areas: UI, API, security, system performance, log monitoring, network/protocol analysis, and installation/configuration.
Our team is seeking a QA Engineer that will bring quality assurance and technical expertise to test core business processes across several business applications developed with the latest technologies from Microsoft and Salesforce.
Responsibilities

Proactive review of ongoing system changes to assess impact on existing test automation
Conduct manual and automated testing, ensuring robust software performance and functionality
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing business systems processes
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance
Provide accurate task estimates and status reports

Qualifications

Experience using programming languages (e.g., C, Python, Java) in writing automated tests
Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with the SDLC
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
Experience as a QA Engineer or similar role

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in common software engineering tools (e.g. Git, Kanban)
Proficiency in testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
Experience with REST API testing
Experience with Salesforce and SaaS Quote- To- Cash processes a bonus
Experience with agile development methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
