(Senior) Sourcing Specialist
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIESKey Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a proactive and detail- oriented Sourcing Buyer to join our team and support procurement activities related to construction and facility projects. This role requires not only strong sourcing and negotiation skills but also understanding of MEPF systems, construction methodologies, quantity surveying (QS), value engineering, and design optimization.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross- functional teams to ensure cost- effective, timely, and technically sound procurement of goods and services for both new builds and existing facility improvements. In addition to new projects, the scope of work will also include sourcing and procurement of spare parts and materials required for ongoing maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Identify value engineering opportunities in materials, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and vendors to optimize cost, quality, and performance without compromising on safety or compliance.
• Maintain and develop material price book, supplier databases, focusing on reliability, cost- effectiveness, and technical capabilities.
• Coordinate tendering processes, including vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, clarifications, and negotiations.
• Lead end- to- end sourcing for construction and facility- related packages, including MEPF systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection), CSA, fit- out and general building works.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Support sourcing and procurement of spare parts and materials for routine maintenance and upkeep of factory facilities and systems.
• Ensure all procurement activities align with internal policies and project- specific requirements.
Junior Sourcing Specialist
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a day- to- day Sourcing requirement; negotiate with suppliers in terms of price,
delivery schedule, and payment term for the maximum value of delivery to the business.
• Coordinate tendering processes, including vendor prequalification, bid evaluation,
clarifications, and negotiations to ensure the most cost- effective options.
• Develop and manage suppliers according to business needs and maintain supplier
relationships, act as the leading point of contact for commercial discussion.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that all requirements are met in term of work plans

REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience
Fresher for Junior or 3- 5 years for Senior of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, facilities or construction. Experience in value engineering and design optimization within sourcing or technical teams is highly preferred.
Knowledge
Working knowledge of construction and MEPF systems, BOQs, specifications, and site coordination processes. Fundamental knowledge of Quantity Surveying, including cost estimation, variation assessment, and contractual terms. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment. Understanding local regulations, compliance standards, procurement models and sustainability requirements is a plus
