JOB DESCRIPTION:
We rarely open this role. We do not hire "ticket takers." We hire System Administrators.
At Jemmia, IT is not a back- office support function; it is the central nervous system of the company. We are looking for someone who makes IT invisible and frictionless, empowering our team to do their best work without interruption.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are a Service Owner: You do not just "close tickets." You own the employee experience. If the network is slow or the ERP hangs, business stops. You take that personally and proactively ensure uptime.
You are AI- Native: You do not spend hours digging through obscure forum posts. You use AI to diagnose complex ERP errors, write PowerShell or Bash scripts, and monitor security threats instantly.
You are an Empowerer: You build clear documentation and robust systems that let users help themselves.
You are an Automator: If you reset the same password three times, you build a self- serve tool. You use network deployment tools and write scripts to eliminate manual work.
WHO YOU ARE NOT (OUR ANTI- PATTERNS):
The "Manual Warrior": Manually installing software on 50 computers one by one instead of using automated deployment tools.
The "Not My Job" mentality: Saying "The ERP is the vendor&039;s problem." At Jemmia, if the staff cannot work, it is your problem to chase the vendor until it is fixed.
The "Grumpy Admin": Making users feel stupid for asking questions. Your job is to empower them, not judge them.
The "Rebooter": Fixing a problem by restarting the server every week instead of finding out why it crashes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.
Proven track record in system administration, network management, and IT operations.
High empathy, strong communication skills, and a high degree of ownership.
Experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise systems (like ERPs) and driving vendor accountability.
With 2 years of professional experience.
