Tax Controller

We are seeking an experienced Tax Controller to ensure our organization’s full compliance with tax regulations, proactively drive improvements in tax processes and controls, and mitigate tax- related risks. This role is essential for keeping our tax practices current with the latest regulatory changes, safeguarding our financial integrity, and supporting strategic decision- making.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Tax Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all local tax returns, including VAT, FCT, CIT, Business License Tax, Transfer Pricing, Global Minimum Tax
- Oversee the preparation of tax- related disclosures for financial statements and group reports.
- Manage the VAT refund process, including documentation preparation and coordination with tax authorities.
- Perform regular tax reconciliations, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead and coordinate tax audits, providing required documentation and effective responses to tax authorities.
Tax Process & Control Improvement
- Implement and maintain up- to- date tax processes and controls within the company’s systems.
- Develop and maintain effective tax reporting, documentation, and record- keeping practices.
- Identify opportunities to enhance tax compliance controls and process efficiency.
Tax Planning & Advisory
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact and updating internal processes accordingly.
- Advise senior management on tax matters, risks, and optimization opportunities.
- Review and advise on internal documents, including contracts and policies.
- Provide guidance and training to business teams on tax compliance and best practices.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Transactions
- Develop and manage transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with local and group requirements.
- Oversee the documentation of intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and arm’s length pricing.
Adhoc Support
- Support special projects and assignments related to tax compliance and process improvement as required.
- Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time
