Test Engineer (Software)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail- oriented Test Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test scenarios, executing test cases, developing automation scripts, and collaborating closely with development and product teams to deliver high- quality software.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Ensure test coverage and maintain testing documentation.
Identify, document, and track defects using defect- tracking tools.
Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create test plans and test cases.
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.
Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter
Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and SDLC.
Proven experience as a Test Engineer / QA Engineer with both manual and automation testing.
Hands- on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
