Vendor R&D Designer

Position Summary:
The Vendor R&D Design Assistant supports the development and execution of new product designs and innovations through collaboration with internal teams and buyers. This role assists in research, design development, material sourcing, and prototype coordination to ensure that product designs meet company standards for quality, functionality, and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in research and development of new trend concepts, materials, and design
Support material and trim research, sample development
Prepare presentation materials for internal design and buyer meetings.
Track and manage product development timelines, ensuring milestones are met.
Communicate and coordinate with buyers to ensure timely delivery of design samples and prototypes.
Support in preparing sketches, market intelligence report and trend research
Maintain design records, technical files, and sample libraries.

Detail- oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Basic knowledge of vendor management or sourcing processes is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Fluent in English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product development cycles.
Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, or similar).
