Accountant _ Lazada

Oversee month- end close activities for marketplace accounting, ensuring timely and accurate revenue and cost recognition in line with accounting policies.
Partner with system/product teams to ensure proper data flow and reconciliation between business platforms and accounting systems
Coordinate and align with local country teams to ensure smooth and consistent operational execution across markets.
Collaborate with tax, compliance, and audit teams to ensure governance and proper documentation in place for financial transactions.
Identify and resolve issues in reconciliation between operational data (e.g. order- level, seller reports) and accounting entries.
Support finance operations in the marketplace scope, including seller queries, settlement, billing, payment reconciliation, and resolving day- to- day operational finance issues and supervise BPO management
Support internal and external audit requests relating to marketplace accounting.

Fluent in English and Chinese. Other Southeast Asian language(s) is a plus.
Ability to work within tight timeframes, manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility as priorities change.
At least 1 years of relevant experience, preferably with regional exposure or in e- commerce / platform business.
Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Detail oriented and able to communicate effectively with both finance and non- finance stakeholders.

This position is responsible for supporting the rollout of new initiatives and projects, ensuring the smooth transition and operation of outsourced tasks, performing some operational tasks during the month / month end and helping to drive transformational efficiencies and automation across all ventures. This role reports to the Vice President, Finance Process Lead in Singapore.
