Prepare security plans for special events (seminars, conferences, VIP guests, weddings, etc.)
Ensure all contracted security guards are trained and aware of Six Senses Con Dao policies and procedures.
Initiate actions to correct hazardous situations and notify supervisors of potential risks.
Maintain discipline, professionalism, and loyalty among all security personnel.
Supervise outsourced Security Guards to ensure adherence to resort policies and procedures.
Work with the Crisis Management Team to prepare and maintain emergency procedures covering situations such as fire, power outage, bomb threats, storms, etc.
Review and analyze all incoming reports and establish appropriate action plans.
Be prepared to implement assigned tasks during emergencies such as fire, power failure, or other critical incidents.
Coordinate with local authorities and investigators in handling incidents, crimes, and accidents.
Provide leadership training for senior security personnel.
Ensure firearms or other weapons are not carried by staff while on duty.
Be familiar with property safety procedures, first aid, fire safety, and emergency response procedures.
Record emergency drill information using the correct forms and maintain records in accordance with Six Senses Con Dao policies and procedures.
Supervise and coordinate emergency drills.
Establish good cooperation with senior staff within the resort and with other hospitality partners when required.
Log all security incidents and accidents in accordance with resort requirements.
Ensure departmental Risk Management Calendar actions are updated according to the monthly schedule.
Ensure all security personnel and resort staff adhere to security procedures and property policies.
Ensure all patrolling, inspection, and escort duties are performed to a high standard.
Be fully conversant with all resort emergency procedures.
Conduct monthly fire safety inspections.
Maintain a good knowledge of relevant local laws, including the liquor act and criminal code.
Work closely with Human Resources on manpower planning and staffing needs.
Manage the development and implementation of departmental standards and procedures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the contracted security guard company.
Oversee the security department including deployment of security personnel and their regular training programs.
Report any performance concerns regarding contracted staff to the contractor’s management after informing the General Manager and relevant management.
Coordinate with the Finance Department in the preparation and management of the resort’s security budget.
Coordinate and organize the day- to- day operations of the Security Department, including planning and operational control.
Keep the General Manager and Executive Committee informed at all times regarding incidents or security concerns.
Establish good communication and maintain positive relationships with informal leaders and relevant members of the local community.
Monitor and maintain all operational and performance standards and ensure corrective actions are taken when standards are not met.
