General Accountant Supervisor

The General Accountant Supervisor role at MiTek Vietnam is responsible for overall accounting activities, supporting the Chief Accountant in maintaining and ensuring compliance with the accounting system, and preparing reports as required by the company. This position also leads complex accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with legal standards and company policies, while effectively supervising accounting processes to support business objectives. This role also includes leadership responsibilities to guide and train team members.
 
Roles, Responsibilities & Typical Activities
Accounting and Tax Operations Management (10%)
• Manage and lead the team in performing accounting and tax operations, including but not limited to: daily and period- end journal entries, postings, tax declarations, etc.
Reporting & Communication: (20%)
• Maintain reconciliation files for consolidated reporting through OneStream.
• Participate in regular meetings with global finance teams to share updates, align on processes, and ensure effective collaboration across regions.
• Prepare and submit financial statements in compliance with VAS and US GAAP by statutory deadlines.
• Ensure data integrity and clarity in all outputs meet the legal requirements.
• Provide detailed P&L analysis by cost center or service line monthly.
• Highlight variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts.
• Provide timely and accurate reports as requested by Board of management.
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Related- Party Transactions (10%)
• Review and validate monthly AR/AP reports.
• Ensure timely settlement of intercompany balances and proper documentation.
Tax Compliance- Tax Audit and VAT Refund (20%)
• Support tax audits and manage related documentation.
• Process and track VAT refund claims until completion.
• Maintain compliance with local tax laws and corporate policies
• Ensure accurate calculation, declaration, and payment of CIT, deferred CIT, VAT, FCT, etc., on time.
Project Implementation (20%)
• Validate data migration and ensure process alignment for successful go- live.
• Deliver reconciled reports between VAS and IFRS.
• Coordinate with PwC for IFRS adjustments, conversion, and adaptation to local regulations.
• Support implementation of SAP ERP and Travel & Expense Management systems (Navan, VnTrip, etc.).
Leadership & Training (20%)
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance to strengthen team capability.
• Contribute to setting team goals and lead members to achieve those objectives
Other reasonable tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

English level (CEFR) B2 or equivalent.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
At least 3- year working experience in relevant field.
Ability to work under tight timeline, high pressure, and commitment to meet deadlines
Prior experience in a team leader role is considered an advantage.
University or College degree in Finance – Accounting.
Possesses strong skills in delegating tasks effectively and monitoring progress to ensure objectives are completed accurately and on time.
Attention to detail, logical thinking, and ability to work independently
Time management and multi- tasking skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Good grasp of Vietnam’s accounting standards, tax and business regulations, and international laws
