JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Overview
Responsible for all activities related to enhancing Right First Time and reducing Scrap rate at the Tire line
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Having the authorities within the assigned function
• Carry out layer process audit to check quality awareness of operators. If the audit fails, work with Production Supervisor to have proper actions.
• Monitor indexes of Right First Time (IRF) and Scrap rate (IQP) of the Tire line to make sure that the 2 indexes are in good range
• Drive daily/weekly/monthly meetings with relevant departments (Quality, Planning, Engineering) to review IRF & IQP status and follow- up related actions/projects
• Make monthly quality analysis reports and deploy monthly quality focus points from N2 level (engineers) to N1 level (operators)
• Train operators of the quality cardinal rules and quality foundation to promote quality awareness at the Tire line
• Collect corresponding data and carry out data analysis, after which propose and implement improvement actions to improve IRF & IQP
• Handle non- compliance (NC), complaints, and performance deviations with appropriate reaction level. Parallelly, investigate root causes and provide corrective and preventive actions
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
• Build/modify/update production standards (Work Instructions, Work Standards and Work Procedures) at each station of the Tire line and ensure that all products produced at each station follow those standards
• Work with Planning team to adapt production plans to process the consumption (blending) of NC products
• Adhere to Company quality systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
Background: Proven track record in FDI manufacturing with well- structured management systems.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Polymer, Process, or Industrial Systems Engineering, or related technical majors.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Exposure: Direct experience in Quality, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement (CI), NPI, or Automation is highly preferred.
Technical Competencies
Statistical Tools: Strong grasp of statistical process control and tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC).
Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of Rubber compounding and Tire manufacturing processes.
Process & Quality Control: Proficient in maintaining production standards and handling non- compliance (NC).
Data & Analytical Skills (The Core Advantage)
Digital Readiness: Familiarity with SQL or Python for data analysis is a strong plus.
Data Analytics: Advanced skills in data mining and analysis using MS Excel (Power Query, Pivot) and Power BI.
Problem- Solving Frameworks: Expert in using 5Why, Fishbone, 8D, and PDCA to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
Soft Skills & Behaviors
Communication: Good command of English (verbal & written) for reporting and cross- functional collaboration.
