JOB DESCRIPTION

Project cost control

Reconcile vendor statements, track outstanding liabilities, and ensure correct allocation to cost codes.
Coordinate with QS/PM/Consultants to validate: Work completion status, site records, approvals, and handover documentation.
Track Budget/ Commitment/ Actual costs; update cost- to- complete and highlight variances.
Maintain project cost ledger by package/workstream (e.g: demolition, finishes, MEP, FF&E, OS&E, fire fighting).
Manage payment workflows aligned with construction practice: Advance payment, interim payment, retention, final payment.
Verify payment requests against: Contract terms, approved BOQ/measurement, and approved variation orders.

Invoicing & Tax compliance

Prepare accruals for unbilled works/materials at month- end; manage allocations between capex/opex if required by policy.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
Check the validity/completeness of invoices and supporting documents (VAT invoice, delivery note, acceptance/inspection record, handover minutes).

Audit & Documentation control

Maintain organized and audit- ready filing (hard copy and digital) by package: Contracts, addenda, VO logs, progress certifications, invoices, payment approvals.
Liaise with internal/external auditors; provide supporting schedules, explanations, and evidence promptly.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years of working experience in accounting/finance; exposure to construction/renovation projects is preferred.
Strong coordination and follow- up skills; able to work with multiple packages/vendors simultaneously.
Good English proficiency for reporting and coordination.
Strong Excel skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Detail- oriented, high integrity, and able to work under tight deadlines.
Solid understanding of construction/renovation cost structure: BOQ, progress payment, VO/claims, retention, handover records.Detail- oriented, high integrity, and able to work under tight deadlines.
Willingness to attend site meetings/inspections and work flexibly during key project milestones.
Experience in audit or accounting service firms is a strong advantage.
