Import and Export Specialist

Purpose:
• Other: The job holder is responsible to support import export manager to keep improvement on import and export operation process to better service BUs & sites in Viet Nam, drives operational excellence, service level improvement, suppliers management, cost savings and process innovation. Secures and uninterrupted and timely support to all BUs within specifications.
• Cooperation with the internal stakeholders while staying well- aligned with the corporate requirements. This includes (but is not limited to): all import and export process related activities, such as customs clearance, shipment arrangement, forwarder management, import and export costs management, etc.
• Focus on pro- actively handling the Import and export license application within Viet Nam across all BUs and functions in close
Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for all import and export process related activities, license application, renewal, custom clearance, shipment arrangement, forwarder management, import and export costs management, etc.
License management
• Acting as key coordinator to manage and coordinate all license applications with internal team
• Directly liaising with government bodies to fulfill all regulatory requirements on license applications and renewal.
• Train internal team on the import export licenses requirements from government to align on the process and stay compliant with applicable laws and regulations
• Steer import export team to plan for, collect and work on applications proactively and timely to support import and export plan.
• Fully accountable for all import export licenses application to government, license management, data management, license track and traceability.
Import and Export Service Fulfilment
• Handling imports and export orders, as shipment arrangement, customs clearance and delivery. Following the SLA and service KPIs aligned to make sure delivery on time in full.
Operational Excellence
• Drive cost management, Dem, Det charges for all BUs
• Proactive communication with stakeholders to understand the requirements of stakeholders and continuously improve to achieve operational excellence.
Trade Compliance Enhancement
• Update and train internal team of new import export regulations
• Strictly comply with the trade compliance and procedure to drive for min. and to eliminate the trade compliance risk
Reporting
• Running monthly shipment data and report to support Viet Nam import & export to leader to analyses the performance of supplier and the KPIs to BU
Import and Export Spending Management
• Provide regular cost information to stakeholders assigned. Help stakeholder on reports of related spending items of import and export.
Professionalism Development
• Align with impex manager and make plan to improve the professionalism on import and export.
ERP (SAP, MFG pro etc.) and import and export management system utilization
• Familiar with SAP utilization and do assigned transaction in ERP system and use the import and export management system to manage all orders.

• Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with various functional levels – internally and externally especially government bodies.
• Ability to perform, understand and communicate detailed information analysis and evaluation
• More than 5 years&039; experience in import and export and at least 3 years in a chemical company.
• Capability of selling ideas, concepts and programs to internal customers and suppliers and up and down the relevant AkzoNobel organization, ability to work under minimal supervision with broad direction.
• Bachelor’s degree holder or above,
• SAP knowledge
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Logical thinking
• Expertise and knowledge of Logistics in general and specially in import and export
• Experienced Import and export professionalism with broad understanding of import and export knowledge in chemicals industry
