POSITION: JUNIOR BUYER (FRESH GRADUATE)
JOB PURPOSEThis position will focus on sourcing from local and/or oversea to support various projects. He/She will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end sourcing operations as well as be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending, supplying partnerships and new opportunities. She/he will need to manage the suppliers for daily production issues come up, negotiating for any sudden changes needed for the benefit of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct competitive analysisWilling to travel occasionally to China and around Vietnam
This candidate will learn to understand product ranges, price ranges and capability of different suppliers to identify suitable suppliers for development
Identify potential savings opportunities and support cost savings initiatives
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Source and develop suppliers in commodity category
Support the procurement process including request for quotations, negotiate with suppliers, recommend best offer (in terms of quality, service, and cost)
Facilitate cross functional teams to assess and audit candidate suppliers
REQUIREMENTS:
Proactive, sensitive to figures and strong analytical and negotiation skills
Able to work under pressure.
Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
Positive working attitude and willing to learn A self- starter with a ‘hands- on’ approach.
Eager to drive key initiatives and see them through to successful implementation
Preferably in supply chain management functions under manufacturing or consumer goods setting
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field; Supply Chain Management
Excellent speaking and writing in English & Vietnamese, Chinese is a plus Data Analysis, Power BI skill is a plus

Impact of the position: We need to develop supplier base in Vietnam to support worldwide transfer program which include new supplier development, price analysis & supply chain management. We can do more analysis to deal with the challenge of the commodity component price cost down and coordinate daily work between internal department and vendors

Reporting relationship: Report to Purchasing Lead
