MES Project Engineer

MES Implementation (Go- Live Phase)
- Lead process mapping (PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions) into MES workflows.
- Configure MES modules:

OEE, downtime, and yield analytics
Electronic work instructions & paperless shop floor
Quality checks, SPC, and non- conformance management
Real- time WIP tracking
Production scheduling & dispatching

- Integrate MES with:

ERP
PLC/SCADA
Automated equipment (robots, AOI, SMT lines) via OPC- UA, MQTT, or API

- Define and enforce master data standards (BOM, routings, resources, recipes).
- Conduct FAT/SAT, user training, and hyper- care support during ramp- up.
Sustainment & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor MES KPIs (data accuracy ≥99%, system uptime ≥99.5%).
- Troubleshoot integration failures and process gaps in real time.
- Lead root- cause analysis for production losses linked to digital execution.
- Manage change requests, version control, and regression testing for MES upgrades.
- Drive Kaizen events to refine MES logic and reduce cycle time/variation.

Education: Bachelor&039;s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience:

3+ years as Process Engineer in a high- mix or high- volume factory.
Proven success taking a greenfield site live with MES (preferred).
2+ years hands- on MES implementation (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell PharmaSuite, Critical Manufacturing, SAP ME/MII, Apriso, or iBase- t).
Technical Skills:

- SQL queries & database structures (SQL Server/Oracle).
- PLC integration basics (ladder logic, tags, OPC).
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma tools.
- API/REST, JSON, XML for ERP- MES sync.

Soft Skills:

- Strong cross- functional influencer (works with IT, Quality, Production).
- Detail- oriented with ability to simplify complex digital processes for operators.
- Fluent in English.
