METAL SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE:

On supplier quality control, to ensure the high quality of incoming material and drive supplier quality continuous improvement

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Review and validate non- conformance reports, verify root cause analysis, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
Conduct supplier evaluations, including new supplier qualification and periodic supplier audits.
Review and verify incoming inspection results, identify abnormalities, and ensure proper disposition.
Coordinate daily Incoming Quality Control (IQC) activities to support production schedules and material availability.
Develop, implement, and maintain clear Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Inspection Procedures (SIP) for metal components.
Collaborate with suppliers to continuously improve the quality and reliability of metal components.
Manage non- conforming materials, investigate quality issues, and work closely with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Encourage and evaluate improvement suggestions from IQC inspectors; implement feasible improvements and escalate major issues to management.
Monitor and follow up on material complaints from production, ensuring timely resolution and effectiveness of corrective measures.

Good English communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering major
Strong at supplier evaluation and management
3- 5 years of related experience (supplier quality or quality engineering), preferably in the automotive business and composites field.
Knowledge of quality inspection and quality assurance techniques, theories, principles, technical drawings and GD&T.
Knowledge of quality system requirements for IATF16949/ 5 core tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP), 8D Report. Internal quality auditor, lean is a plus.
Good Microsoft Office skills.
