The Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam – SingCham Vietnam (formerly Singapore Business Group HCM City Chapter – SBG HCMC) is a non- profit organization established on 9 August 1992 by a small group of Singaporeans doing business or working in Vietnam.
Since then, it has evolved from a social club with a membership of 30 individuals into a premier Chamber of Commerce with a membership strength of more than 400 members, and is growing. Besides organizing monthly social networking sessions amongst various business communities, seminars on law, and other business- related topics, the Chamber also undertakes charity projects to help the less fortunate in Vietnam.
Since 2001, the Chamber has set up an educational fund from the proceeds of an annual charity golf event to provide scholarships for needy and deserving Higher Secondary school and University students. To date, 3,000 such students have benefited from this scholarship.
In the first quarter of 2023, the official merger between SingCham Vietnam and the Singapore Business Association Vietnam (SBAV) in Hanoi was finalized. This merger led to the creation of a larger and more influential chamber of commerce, with a broader membership base, greater resources, and a stronger voice in the community. As a result, SingCham Vietnam now has a presence in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, further expanding our reach and impact across the country.

Remote Intern – Chamber Events & Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (SingCham Vietnam), Hanoi Chapter,is seeking a motivated and detail- oriented intern to support our Chamber Events & Marketing. This is a uniqueopportunity to gain hands- on experience in chamber management, communityengagement, and event execution, working with an international businessassociation in Vietnam.

The responsibilities of the intern include, but are not limited to:
EventOrganization & Coordination (
70%)

Assist with event marketing, including draftingcommunication content/slides.
Coordinate event registrations, communication,and follow- up with participants.
Liaise with vendors and partners (as guided bythe line manager).
Provide remote support for the planning andexecution of SingCham Hanoi events.

ChamberOperations Support (20%)

Support administrative tasks related to chamberoperations.
Assistwith the preparation of documents, reports, and translations (Vietnamese–English).

OtherAssigned Tasks (10%)

Undertake other duties as assigned by the linemanager to support the Chamber’s activities.

REQUIREMENTS

Good computer skills, including proficiency inMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms and digital tools (Canva).
Interest in event management, marketing, andinternational business.
Strong communication skills in Englishand Vietnamese (written and spoken).
Availability for 6 months, remote- based(with possible in- person support at Hanoi events).
Highly organized, detail- oriented, proactive,and reliable.
University student orrecent graduate (Business, Marketing, International Relations, Communications,or related fields preferred).
