Senior Data Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Governance & Security: Implement data quality checks and ensure compliance with high- level security standards (such as PCI- DSS) to protect user and partner data.
Product- Centric Data Modeling: Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand feature roadmaps and design data models that align with business logic and user needs.
Cross- functional Collaboration: Work with Data Analysts to provide clean, structured datasets that drive product insights and informed decision- making.
AI & Innovation Support: Optimize data flows and Vector Databases to support internal AI Multi- Agent projects and advanced OCR capabilities.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune data systems for maximum speed and reliability, ensuring low- latency access for product applications.
Data Architecture & Pipeline Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to move and transform data from disparate sources into our Data Warehouse/Data Lake.

REQUIREMENTS:

Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business requirements.
Agile Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast- paced environment with evolving priorities.
Data Modeling: Expertise in dimensional modeling, schema design, and experience with Vector Databases for AI applications.
Programming Mastery: Proficiency in Python or Scala. Ability to write clean, production- grade, and testable code.
Modern Data Stack: Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Data Ecosystem: Hands- on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL, and Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka).
Product Mindset: A strong "product- first" mentality—understanding not just how to build, but why it matters for the end- user.
Analytical Thinking: Exceptional problem- solving skills with a focus on system scalability and data integrity.
Cloud Infrastructure: Strong experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Athena).
