Senior Training Specialist

Main Role: Lead and drive training and capability development programs across manufacturing operations to enhance productivity, quality, and workforce capability, while ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence standards.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Planning

Design structured training roadmaps for different workforce segments (operators, line leaders, middle management)
Develop and implement annual training plans aligned with production, quality, and business objectives
Identify skill gaps across operators, supervisors, and managers through TNA (Training Needs Analysis)

Program Design & Delivery

Design and deliver training programs in:
Technical skills (e.g., sewing skills, machine operation, QA/QC standards)
Supervisory & leadership capabilities
Process and system training (e.g., ERP, SOPs)
Develop standardized training materials, SOP- based modules, and on- the- job training (OJT) frameworks
Ensure training content is practical, easy to apply, and production floor- oriented

Capability Development & Systems

Integrate training with performance management and productivity KPIs
Build and manage skill matrices and competency frameworks for production roles
Lead certification programs for operators and technical roles
Standardize onboarding and skill- up training processes

Training Effectiveness & Improvement

Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and performance data
Ensure training outcomes are applied in daily operations
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness

Stakeholder Management

Coach and support line managers in developing their teams
Partner with Production, QA, IE, and HR teams to align training initiatives
Manage internal trainers and build a strong trainer pool

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree
Must have 3–5+ years of experience in training/L&D within manufacturing (preferably garment industry)
Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs

Skills & Competencies

Data- driven mindset with ability to measure training impact
Good facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience in skill matrix, TWI, OJT, or competency frameworks
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (sewing, QA/QC, production flow)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
Experience working in large- scale factories (500+ employees)
Familiarity with ERP systems in manufacturing
